This class is the 1st of 4 in the second volume of my "Level One Pole Series". It is highly recommended that you complete the first volume one series before taking this class. It is available on my website JeniJanover.com
This class was recorded on Nov. 9th 2022 and is a repurposed live class.
In this particular class there was an extensive warm-up and breakdown of shoulder activation and scapular isolations. We talked about shoulder PT and I hoped individual students who were having shoulder issues try to find a better vocabulary to speak with their physical therapist outside of the classroom.
We looked at a packing shoulder exercise. We proceeded to look at packing the shoulders through body waves. Then we looked at introduction to the "Waste Hold". We revisited the dip turn and did a leg hook fold, focusing on the active hooking leg and weight transfer on the fold.
We looked at a familiare pirouette but through new eyes.
We finished with a deep dive into the dip turn and the importance of the inside and outside leg. and started to explore movement theory . This class is a beginner class in content , but an intermediate class in theory.
